2 Weeks old

Can you believe Chloe is already 2 weeks! I can't!!! I remember being so impatient about her getting here and now she is 2 weeks.

She had her second PKU and doctor appointment yesterday. She did great through the PKU, I fed her while the lady did it, so she only cried for a quick second. At her doctor appointment she weighed 6 lbs, 4 oz and was 20 inches long. Before her appointments we had my follow up, so it was a busy day.

After all the appointments my mom and I wanted lunch, so we ate at Fish City Grill and Chloe was a perfect angel and she got lots of compliments. Because she was so good we decided to stop at Southlake Town Center and go to a few stores. Chloe likes shopping!

I just love a swaddled baby!

Firsts

So far, this week has been a week of many firsts.

First Doctor appointment
Reed wrote his name without any help!

Her umbilical cord fell off so she had her first bath to get ready for her first photo shoot with Tabitha. We took our first walk in the stroller. She met a lot of neighbors for the first time.

We are enjoying every minute of having Chloe in our lives. She is such a great baby!!! She loves to be outside, to be held, to be talked to, and to listen to her brothers. She is a very smiley baby, which we are just loving!!!

she loves her big brother Reed!

Home, Sweet Home

This morning we were so excited about taking our precious baby girl home! Chloe put on her Sunday best, we packed up the car and waited and waited and waited. Finally about 2 pm we were released. We came home to a sign made by Christian, home cooked food by mom and dinner cooked by our neighbor, clean sheets and happy children! It is awesome to be home!!!

PINK

I just wanted to share a picture of her that showed her face. I didn't have the camera all day Thursday or Friday and noticed that none of the pitures showed her precious face! We are so in love with our little girl. She is so sweet, calm and seems to be very laid back. She lays in her little crib wide awake and just looks around.

Chloe Is Here!!!

The boys waiting to become big brothers to Chloe. They made the cute little flower pots for me.

The boys put blown up latex gloves under their shirts and were saying we are pregnant.
And the pink bows begin!

We are so happy to introduce our sweet baby girl to all of you. She is absolutely perfect!!! 5 lbs, 14 oz, 19 1/2 inches long.

We arrived Thursday, April 16th at 6 am and were scheduled for c/section at 8 am. Someone that was induced had complications and ended up emergency c-section, which backed us up to 10 am. Everything went great! They got my spinal block first try and then Chance came in which always eases my nerves. She was out by 10:15! We were so excited to see that she was really a GIRL!!! We have lots of funny stories from the c/section because my Dr. is hilarious, but that will have to be another time. After surgery we were taken to recovery were we got to keep Chloe with us and hold her and bond with her before she had to go to the nursery.

Chloe is an awesome baby, she is happy and very content. She only cries when we are trying to get her mad and woken up to eat. When she is awake she opens her eyes, looks around and makes cute faces.

We don't know who she looks like. We have had comments that she looks like Reed and that she has the same nose as Christian. I am never good at looking at a baby and seeing who they look like. We just know she is cute and are so thankful for her. She has already brought us so much joy!

Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I Love ya! You're only a day away!!!!

We go to the hospital at 6 am and are scheduled for c/section at 8 am. I can't wait to meet her!!!

Easter Weekend

A game of wiffle ball in the court with all the neighboorhood kids.

All the kids ready for the egg hunt.

The easter baskets! Sand toys, candy, and cookies! They were so happy!
This year we decided that we were going to have a very casual Easter. We did not know if we would have a baby or not, if we would make it to church or not, and so on. We bought the boys some cute shirts that they just wore with jeans. We didn't have a baby and we made it to church. Church was great! I love worship, and worship on Christmas and Easter is always so special. After church we ate lunch then came home and watched the Mavs and the Masters and took naps. I am very glad we decided to have a casual Easter!
Happy Easter everyone, I hope you all took time to reflect on the fact that Jesus is alive! He is a living God!!! Is he living in you?

38 Weeks

Chloe has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.

I have been very uncomfortable today and would really like for Chloe to enter the world soon!

Sitting Pretty

I know I keep posting pictures of the puppy, but the way he sits makes Chance and I laugh so hard, so we had to share!

Eggs!

The boys both had Easter parties at school today. And since I did not have a baby, I went to both! After going to Christian's party I thought my blood pressure was probably back up quite a bit. Wow, a room full of 1st graders is loud and can be very stressful!!!

No Baby Today

The boys were so excited to wear the big brother shirts today! Looks like we get to wear them again soon.

This was supposed to be my last picture pregnant.

Well, as bummed as I am that we didn't get to meet Chloe today, I have been praying for God's timing and peace about it. My blood pressure was down some and they took some blood yesterday and he said I was anemic, so he wanted me to take iron until Monday and we would check my bp again if it is still good then we will stick with Thursday, 4/16.

Tomorrow!!!

Today I had my regular dr. appointment and when I get there the nurse takes my blood pressure and it was very high. She asked me several questions and wrote it all down and said hmmm... Dr. Neal will be right in and probably want to take your blood pressure again after you sit there for a little while. Well he came in and we talked about how I have been feeling and he said for me to come back tomorrow morning and take my blood pressure again, but that he was 80% sure that I would have Chloe tomorrow. While I don't want to have high blood pressure I got very excited that we may meet her tomorrow. Please pray that her lungs are fully developed and that she will be very healthy!

10 more days!

This weekend was interesting, I thought we were going to have Chloe Saturday night/Sunday morning. I was having lower back pain, menstral type cramps and contractions every 4 minutes and then they just stopped and completely went away. I was a little disapointed, but I only have 10 more days till she really will be here. So, the count down is on and we are ready!!!

37 Weeks

Yay — Chloe is full term! This means that if Chloe arrives now, her lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though my due date is still three weeks away. Chloe weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long.

Chloe's bag is packed ready for the hospital!
