No Menu Monday...or Tuesday

I do not have a menu planned for this week. Chance is out of town for the week, so dinners are super kid friendly this week. I want to make this week as easy and stress free as possble. I have had the boys in bed and asleep earlier than usual, it is so great! It is amazing how much happier Christian has been in the morning with some extra sleep. I think his official bed time just got moved, except for baseball game nights.

I always hear that when husbands are out of town that the pregnant wife usually goes into labor. So, we will see if this helps me any. I walked a lot today and got a few things to get my suitcase ready. I really doubt she will come before the 16th, but one can wish and pray right?

I have been praying for peace! Peace about God's timing for Chloe to arrive, peace about how everything will work out with the boys if she does come early, peace about the c/section, peace about having 3 kids, peace about so many adjustments.....

Showered with lots of PINK!!!

My wonderful friends Jennifer Towery, Kristy Mercer, Amber Mainquist & Tabitha Reuman threw me a shower. It was so great! Chloe is already a very blessed little girl. We have a closet full of clothes and so many cool things to make life easier when she get here.

Back to Back

This will give you an idea of how big Champ is. Rocky is 11 and an average size boxer, Champ is almost 4 months old. You can also see how gray Rocky is. He used to be the same color Champ is.

Sonshine Diaper Shower

The Preschool I work at, Sonshine Academy, gave me a diaper shower. It was awesome! I got diapers, wipes, gift cards and some other fun stuff. Chloe got a shirt for her to wear to school next year on Spirit Day too.

36 Weeks

Chloe is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. She swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.

35 Weeks

Chloe doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and her liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Nursery

The crib is up and the bedding is on... it is finally a room for a baby. It is beginning to sink in, but I don't think I will really believe it until I am holding her in my arms.

Look How Big I Am...

I haven't showed any pictures of Champ in a while, so here he is. He has gotten huge. His paws are bigger than Rocky's. These pictures don't do his size justice, but they were cute.

34 Weeks

Chloe now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. I am happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

Tomorrow we are going to get the crib and my mom said the bedding is done, so more pictures to come of the nursery.

I need to cover the rocker cushions and get some stuff hung on the walls and we will be done!!!

My Last Day

Tomorrow is my last day at Sonshine Academy. While I am relieved because I have so much to do to get ready for Chloe and I plan on getting my daily nap in, I am also very sad. I love this class and feel that God blessed Heather and I greatly this year. All of our kiddos come in class with a smile on their face and leave with a smile on their face!!! I will miss all the hugs and good laughs.

33 Weeks

I am a day late with this post, but not much has changed from the last week. I think the fruit that they compare to week 33 is a pinneapple. I think my belly has drastically grown though!!

My mom has done such a great job on the bedding...it is almost finished!!!

More Nursery...

The Letters I made for the wall. It is hard to see the details of each one in the picture. The H has swirlies on it and the white E is glittery.
We still need to cover the chair cushions and ottoman cushion.
New pink ceramic knobs!
Do you remember this plate from a previous post? I got this precious Milk Glass plate in Canton and put some new ribbon in it.

Change Your Calendar...

The date has already changed...

Chloe Alexis will now join us April 16th via c/section, if not sooner. We got a letter saying that 4/14 & 4/15 were booked for scheduled c/sections. We were disappointed but it is still exciting!

1st Grade Program

Christian had his 1st Grade PTA Program last Thursday. He did great! He over pronounced his words and did all his motions. We were pretty far back, so the pictures aren't great, but here they are.
