32 Weeks

By now, Chloe weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in the uterus. She'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

She will be here in 47 days or less! WOW!!!

Mark Your Calendar's...

April 14, 2009, Chloe Alexis Heady will enter this world!

Everything was great at the Dr. today. She measured exactly 31 weeks and 4 days and weighed about 3.5 lbs. Everything looked perfect and the placenta previa had moved back! Praise the Lord! So, that means all my pain and pressure is just pregnancy #3 and I get to endure it until she is here.

During the sonogram she tried to give me a 3D picture of her face, but she had her head tilted so we couldn't get a good picture. She also had her legs closed, but we did see that yes indeed she is a girl! I would like to think that today is proof that she will be a modest little girl and a tad shy.

Showered

My high school girlfriends Angie, Brandi & Nikole threw me a shower yesterday. It was so fun to open girl stuff that we get to keep!!!

The shower loot!!!
All this is handmade gifts!!! I love handmade things. I am so blessed to have so many talented women in my life.
This bear was a gift from Chance's mom, it is huge! I feel like she should be named. Any suggestions?

Chance's Uncle Doug and Aunt Ilaine made this rocker for Chloe.
Angie and Brandi stuffed this pinata for the boys to hit when I got home with it. They were so excited that they got to be part of the fun.
This is what was in the pinata.

More Nursery...

The nursery is nowhere close to being finished, but here are some sneak peaks at what we have been up to. I walk in the nursery daily and smile at all the pink!

31 Weeks

This week, Chloe measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin.

I love seeing how big she has become. In the beginning of this pregnancy I had lots of anxiety (Satan) about miscarriage or something bad happening. Now that I have made it this far it is such a blessing to know that if she was born today that she would most likely be fine.

I go to the Dr. Wednesday and will have a sonogram to check the placenta previa. I can't wait to see her again and make sure she really is a girl!!!

It's Pink!!!

I still can't believe that there is a room in our house that I got to paint Pink!!! Chance kept saying, "oh wow it is pink." I think it is so much harder for him to get used to the color pink. I hope he starts to get used to it soon, there will be a lot of it. Tomorrow we are painting some of the furniture. It is starting to feel a little more real to me!

Happy Valentines!

I made the family breakfast. I wrote a message on everyone's cup and Christian wrote on mine. The boys were being so sweet and funny all morning. They were truly in the loving spirit of Valentines.

When we bought Champ, we decided he was our family Valentines present, so he will be the gift that keeps on giving.
We love you Champ and are thankful for the love and joy you have brought to our home.
For Valentines dinner our teenage neighbor offered to watch all the kids so that the 4 of us adults could go to dinner. We had a great time visiting as adults! We went to Pappasito's (my favorite). This was our 4th year to have Pappasito's Fajitas Del Mar for Valentines. It was a great day and I feel truly loved and blessed to be surrounded by so many people in my life to love.

Not for long...

Champ will not be able to do this much longer.

30 Weeks

Chloe's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage).

I think the miserable stage of pregnancy is starting... I have been very uncomfortable lately, can't sleep good and go to the bathroom way to often. I really feel that she is going to come early. I could be wrong, but mother's intuition is telling me that she is not going to wait till mid April.

Only about 8 or 9 weekends left till she is here!

What I am praying:

placenta previa to be gone (we will know the 23rd)

finish the nursery before she is here

healthy baby girl

no complications during delivery (c/section)

dr. neal to be available (if it happens before scheduled)

the boys to fall in love with their new sister

breastfeeding

for Chloe to be a good sleeper

for her persoanlity

for her salvation

for her future husband

Turtle Wax

This morning Reed and Chance needed hair cuts before the party. Chance and I have been saying for a few years that we should just shave his head and well, today was the day! We started off with a 2 like normal, then he said do a 1. After I was done with the 1 he came back and said take the guard off and go again. So I thought it was over after that, then we were in the bathroom getting ready and I looked over and he was getting stuff out to shave his head. This is the final product. It is going to take us some getting used to, but I love it already. It is going to be a chore keeping it bald though!

Cousins

After the party we came back to our house to play. It is so fun to see cousins playing so happily together. I am so thankful that Christian and Reed have cousins so close in age.

Reed's 4th Birthday Party

We had a small party for Reed at a bowling alley today. It was a very low stress, easy clean & everyone had a blast! I knew I could not handle having a big party at the house this year, so this was perfect!!! Reed loved every minute of it.

My camera memory was full after this picture, so I did not get a picture on my camera of him blowing out candles or presents.

29 Weeks

Chloe now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain.

I went to the dr. Wednesday and I have now gained 3lbs this entire pregnancy, blood pressure was still great, measured 28 weeks and I passed the glucose test!!! He told me to keep doing what I am doing and he gave the option of coming back in 2 or 4 weeks to do another ultrasound with Janet to check for the Placenta Previa. He is hoping that it is gone, but wanted to check since I am still having pelvic pressure and pain. We aren't really that concerned about the previa since I am having a c-section, but it will be a good way to check on Chloe.

Reed turns 4!

I am a few days late, but my sweet baby boy turned 4 on February 2. Reed is a true joy and I am so thankful for his life. Reed has taught me so much!

When he woke up we sang to him and he sang right aong with us to himself! We got donuts for breakfast (blueberry). Since he is my homebody, I knew he would like nothing more than to stay home all day with me and play games together. So, we played lots of wii! He wanted McDonald's for lunch. Then when Chance got home from work we asked him to choose where he wanted to go for dinner and he chose Chuck E Cheese. After Chuck E Cheese we came home and finished the day with some birthday cake ice cream. He had a great birthday!
