It's Summertime...

Christian's last day of Kindergarten was yesterday! It seems like he just started and now he is a first grader. We were so blessed this year to have an incredible teacher, we will miss you Mrs. Trott. Unfortunatly trying to get out the door remembering everything I forgot my camera, but one of the other moms is going to send me all her pictures, so stay tuned.

Christian also wrapped up another season of T-ball. This time was kind of sad...we have to say goodbye to all the 6 year olds. They get to move up to coach pitch in the Fall. We loved all of the kids and really enjoyed watching them develop. They have improved so much from when we first met all of them. Chance is an incredible coach! All the other teams would comment about how they loved to play our team and how fun it was to watch the boys. They have great attitudes and they all know what to do. I may be biased but Christian is probably the fastest kid on the field. I hope he never looses the love of running.

Blondies

I am watching Throw Down with Bobby Flay on Food Network and they are making Blondies, which made me want them very bad. So, I found this recipe and plan to make it as soon as Boobby Flay is over.

Blondies

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups (12-ounces) NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl. Beat sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract; gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack.

Makes 36 servings.

Help Wanted

Last night I spent several hours downloading music for my IPod. I downloaded 118 songs, but I am writing to ask for your help. I want it to be a really good mix of all kinds of music and last night I got overwhelmed. I would like everyone to post a comment with a song or songs that I need on my IPod.

Thank you hungry girl!!!

5 Things About Me

5 Things about me that you may not know:

1. I do not like to be late to anything!!! When I had Christian it was amazing how early I would have to wake up to avoid being late. It hasn't rubbed off on some of my family though.

2. I am a bit OCD! I have my way of doing things around the house and it is hard for me to see them done another way or for me to relax and not do them. Towels for example all towels are folded the exact same way spines lining up!

3. I love sports! I love to watch all sports, some more than others, but I especially love playoffs.

4. I am competitive! This is probably why I enjoy to watch sports so much.

5. I love baths! I love to dim the lights, listen to music and just soak in hot water!

Hannah

All in all it was a good Mother's Day. I started the day off with my quite time which was on something I needed to hear. Then I spent about 30 minutes in prayer. My prayer ended up being similar to that of Hannah's in 1 Samuel. Then guess what we talked about in Sunday School. Hannah and 1 Samuel...God you are so funny some times!

Hannah - married, discovered she was baren and husband took another wife, he now has 2 wives...Hannah understandably bitter, husbands second wife has a baby, Hannah even more bitter, husbands second wife rubs it in Hannah's face that she and her hubby have a baby together and she doesn't. Stop here, if I was Hannah I can't imagine what I would do. I would have to leave the situation or I would probably do something very awful to her. Hannah fervently prayed that God would bless her with a baby. She made a vow to God, that if He would give her a son that she would give her son to the Lord for all the days of his life. God answered and gave her a son and she named him Samuel.

Our Sunday School lesson was so good, hard to hear, but good. Thank you Vince for letting the Lord speak through you. In his lesson he made a point that hit home. If Hannah would have had Samuel at age 20 without all the trials and heartache, she would love him and probably teach him about God, but because she went through such grief and God answered her prayers and gave her a son, she was much more grateful and knew that God had great things in store for Samuel. And Samuel became a great man of God!

I have been struggling with the questions of why I have not yet gotten pregnant and although this lesson has been a hard one. I truly feel that God has great things in store for our family and we are learning lessons before that time is here. I feel that I could not have realted to someone struggling to get pregnant before and now I can. God thankfully has put a wonderful friend in my life that had the same struggles and she has been a huge help. I haven't felt all alone! Now, maybe I can be a good friend to someone else in the future. Thank you God for Kristy and I pray that you will use me and the trials I have been through to bring glory to Your name.

After church we went to lunch with friends, had a nap, then ate a very fancy dinner with my parents and without kids. The kids made me several things at church and I posted below what Chance and the boys gave me for Mother's Day. So, while it was emotional it was a good Mother's Day.

I love this picture! Reed wanted me to take a picture of his baseball tattoo. Boys are so great!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day presents are early this year:

Chance ordered my gift, so when it was delivered I asked if I could have it. I love Surprises, but why wait when it was already here, right? I love it honey, thank you!!! I especially love that he ordered all the accessories too! He knows me oh so well!!!

Christian made me something and won't let me open it until Sunday, but it looks pretty! He also knows me well he used pink paper to wrap it.

Reed made me a flower pot, again pink, the little bugs painted on the pink part of the pot are his fingerprints.

I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband and the most awesome little boys ever!!! Thank you for everything!

Super Caterpillar

At school Christian has been talking about bugs and was to create a bug with his imagination. So he decided we should make a Super Caterpillar. He decided on the colors red and blue because his t-ball team is the Boston Red Sox. All the other bugs and stuff in the picture are things he made at school this week.

Take me out to the ballgame...

Thanks to some amazing friends we got to go to the Ranger game for free! We had a blast! We had the whole row to ourselves. The boys ran around, enjoyed dollar dog night, got Rangers hats, Christian was on the jumbotron for a split second, and best of all the Rangers won!

Tyler

We went to Tyler weekend before last and we had an awesome time visiting with my brother and his precious family! It was so fun to see the kids playing together. Christian decided while we were there that he should take his training wheels off. He did so great!!! We were all so proud of him! Max made him a certificate. We also went to see the farm that Julie's parents bought. It is so great! I think it is 140 acres, a lake, a stock pond, a house...etc. We had a picnic and let the kids play and run till they were worn out. Enjoy the slide show!
