Guitar Hero

Chance has been wanting Guitar Hero for the wii for a long time so, that is what I got him for Valentines. He has had so much fun playing all the great songs. The boys enjoy dancing around and helping Chance pick out which guy, hair, guitar and such that he should play. Both boys do a mean air guitar. I should have taken a picture of them, but Chance bought me some beautiful tulips! We also enjoyed our favorite meal at Pappasito's and saw a movie Saturday night. Thank you mom and dad for babysitting!

Sunday, we took 2 of Chance's coworkers to Church, Ojeda's and then the Stars game. Arjun (Reed calls him John) is from India and had never been to an American church of any kind or a professional sporting event and was in awe! It was so neat to watch his smiles all day!!! Matt is from Michigan and travels a lot so has not had a chance to do a lot in the metroplex. The Stars played the Detroit Redwings so Matt was supporting the wrong team, but that's ok cause we won! Go Stars!!!

Happy Valentines Day!

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”- John 13:34-35

Valentines Craft

I have an amazing group of friends that get together twice a month for Playgroup. It is 8 moms and soon to be 16 kids. Today 7 moms and 14 kids got together for our Valentines Party that Jenn T. so graciously hosted and provided great food and projects. She had mailboxes for each child to decorate to put their Valentines in and she had a handprint project for each mom to do with our kids. We couldn't get a great picture of it, but here they are. This is now my favorite art in my whole house!

3 yr. check-up

Today we went to the Dr. for Reed's 3 yr. check-up and as always going to the boys check-ups remind me how blessed we are that the boys are so healthy and smart. Reed was a ham for the Dr. he enjoyed answering all the developmental questions she had for me. He would look at me and smile and say, "I can." Reed was in the 55 percentile in height and the 30 percentile in weight. This has been pretty much what he has run since birth. We also learned today that Reed has a heart murmur and we have been recommended to a cardiologist. Please pray that this is nothing and that God will remove the murmur and that God will give our family a peace about it. We love Reed and are so thankful for the joy that he has brought into our family.

My Baby turns 3!

Well, I still can't believe my baby's 3rd birthday has come and gone. I don't know why I seem to be struggling with this birthday. Reed is such a sweet loving little boys that gets so excited when he talks about things he loves. One of the things that he loves to tell us all about is Thomas and his friends. We thought a Thomas party would be perfect! We had hats and stickers for each kid as they came in. Activities included Reed's Thomas tent for them to play in, his thomas mat with little die cast trains, the boys geo trax, thomas color pages and wrestling became an activity that most of the boys enjoyed. We had a Train cake with ice cream and plenty of snacks. Reed loves all of his new toys and hasn't stopped playing since the party except to sleep.

Winter fun

We have had some strange weather the past two months. We have had a lot of time to have fun inside. We have organized and done lots of things that we normally don't because we are usually spending more time outside. It has made it possible to use some of the cute hats, gloves and sweaters/jackets we have. I love the bundled up look!

Desires

I desire to be the women God created me to be.
I desire to know Him!
I desire to die to my will daily and take up His, to seek him in my daily priorities.
I desire to know God's best. Not good, not better, but best!
I desire to be the wife God wants me to be (loving, supportive, submissive, etc.).
I desire for our marriage to be the best example it can be to our boys.
I desire for my husband to be happy in his career.
I desire to be a mom that prays fervently for my boys.
I desire to be a mom that shows my boys they are loved.
I desire for my boys to be confident young men.
I desire to enjoy every minute God has given us with our boys.
I made a commitment to start this year off right by starting each day in quiet time with God and I just wanted to share some of my desires.

What are your desires?

When I was showering one day I was thinking about my relationship with God 10 years ago and how different my relationship is with Him now and How much different I would like it to be in 10 more years. I challenge you to look at where you were 10 years ago and who you would like to be 10 years from now.

I would love for anyone that reads this to post as comments some of your desires.
