Tutu Cute!

After Chloe being a ladybug for Halloween a friend saw her costume and her daughter is going to have a ladybug first birthday party. She asked if I would make her daughter one as well. I think it turned out pretty cute and it was very fun to make. If anyone else is interested in a tutu outfit, just let me know. Girl clothes are so fun!!!

BlueJay's

Reed played Tball for the first time this Fall and was on the BlueJays and he chose #6. Reed is very driven and competetive, but he is also very sensitive and loving. This can be an amusing combination in sports. Reed loved to hit the ball hard and run home, he also loved to get the ball and try and get someone from the other team out, but he usually looked like he felt bad to do it. In tball they do not turn in scores so we usually just say "everyone is a winner in tball," but he would keep score and make sure we knew who won. I loved every minute of watching my baby boy play tball and look forward to watching him grow in to an awesome ball player.

7 Months

Chloe has become very active and loves to play with toys now. This guitar was one of Reed's favorite toys at her age and now she loves it! I love this last picture, it looks like she knows how to hold and play a guitar.

Priceless

I love that our boys have each other. They fight a lot, but they also enjoy each other a lot. They get very creative and use their imaginations...which makes me smile! One night I went in to check on them to make sure they were covered up and their beds were empty. I start wondering where could they have fallen asleep. Little did I know I walked past them twice, finally I turned on the light in our game room and this is what I found...
Priceless!

50's Day

Christian & Brayden before school on 50's day.

Christian's school had 50's day to celebrate the 50th day of school. I wasn't sure what we had, but I think he ended up looking pretty cute!

Happy Halloween

This has been a year of fake smiles! We tell the boys to smile and they give us the worst smiles. Chloe on the other hand can ham it up. She loved her costume! She also loved all the attention she recieved. I love my little ladybug and fake smiling baseball players!!!

Science Hat Parade

Christian - Compete
Vincent - Eco-System
Brayden - Soil
At Christian's school every year at the end of October they assign each kid a science word and definition and then they have to come up with a way to display that word on a hat. The whole school has a parade through the halls that are lined with parents. This year there were not as many parents, but the kids did awesome! Since I love crafting it is fun to see the kids (or parents) creative ways of putting science on a hat. We did not have a lot of time this year so you may recognize the hat with grass. We just changed out what was on top of it. We used a meat eating dinosaur and a plant eating dinosaur facing each other to show the word - Compete (where 2 or more organisms compete to obtain food, water or shelter).

Blogging Thoughts

While I have plenty to post about it has been a long time since I posted and I thought I would share why. I am trying to apply the "good, better, best" philosphy to life latley. I want the things I do to matter to God and if not why do them, right?

example: good - we listen to christian music in the car on the way to school, better - turn off the radio and talk to Christian about good choices for the day, best - memorize scripture in the car on the way to school!

When I prayed about whether or not to continue blogging. God showed me that I use it for our family's way of keeping a timeline and that is good, so that I can go back and scrapbook and everything is in order. He also showed me that it might bless someone to read the stories and experiences we go through and learn from and this is better. So the blogging continues!

I am trying to find what is the "best" for my blog though. I would love for our blog be a place that just might plant a seed with someone, bring Joy to someone, minister in a way that is beyond me.

"New" Car Blessing

Chance has been driving a 1994 Chevy since 1998. This truck has been such a good truck to Chance. We have lots of prechildren memories in this truck. Chance, Rocky and I used to spend a lot of time driving around. Over the last few years it has started showing it's age. Chance has suffered though the past 4 summers with no a/c. So, we are excited to announce we have a "New" to us vehicle. Chance is now the proud new owner of a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

In my quiet time last week it instructed me to make a list of anything I was worrying/bothered/troubled about and then to talk to God about why I was worried about them and then release them to Him, LET GO! Lately both of our vehicles have been a main source of my worry. I released them to God and to show you how God blesses obedience...

Tuesday at work Dixie, my friend and teaching partner, mentioned they bought a new car and that they were taking her Jeep to CarMax to sell it to them. Light bulbs were going off in my head. I asked if we could possibly buy it instead of CarMax and then told Chance all about it. It was much less than we thought we would have to spend on buying Chance a new vehicle so we are taking care of problems with my car as well. I am so glad I released my worry about both vehicles because God has totally blessed us!!!

Also...

Our nephew turns 16 in December (tear) and he has wanted to buy Chance's truck for several years. He wants to do lots of things to the truck so now he can do it before December. His dad has a job that he needs a truck for next week so now he will have it. God cares about every detail!

Dip, Baby Dip

BooMama is hosting DipTacular in honor of the approaching season and that football season has begun.

The Fall is Chance and my favorite season, we both love the weather and to be outside with the boys. We love to watch college football! We love to sleep through the NFL games on Sunday. I would love to say that we love to watch them together, but we don't we usually both end up falling asleep. So I say that NFL game provide the perfect naps. We do DVR though then fast forward through all the highlights of the game.

This is my favorite easy dip. I made it Monday night so that I would have this week to snack on as we went back to school. It takes 5 minutes to prepare and start snacking on!

8 0z. cream cheese
1 packet of dry Ranch mix
Lawry's Seasoned Pepper

Mix the dry ranch mix into the cream cheese and form into a ball. Then sprinkle the seasoned pepper all around it. If you are just making it for yourself you can just mix some seasoned pepper into the dip.

I think this dip goes best with Wheat Thins!

Sonshine Begins too

First Day of Sonshine 3 yrs. old - 2008

First Day of Sonshine Pre-K - 4 yrs. old - 2009

Reed does not like to have his picture taken. Can you tell? This picture was about the 5th one and the best of all of them, urrrrg! Doesn't he know mommy is a scrapbooker and blogger? He is still adorable though

My precious baby girl had her first back to school picture in front of the door too! Next year she will be standing on her own.

See her cute pink poodle? She just started reaching up, grabbing it and pulling it! It makes a funny noise when you pull it and when I heard it I thought it was Reed playing with it, but it wasn't. Reed said excitedly, "Mom that was Chloe!" We got very excited and told her good job! Then when we picked up Christian from school she did it again and Christian said excitedly, "Mom that was Chloe!" We are thrilled that our baby girl is starting to play!!!

Back to School Teacher Gift

The boys made these for their teachers. They painted the canvas, then painted the black dashes, then we painted their palms for the apple (would also work to use an apple cut in half as a stamp), the letter and stem were foam stamps and I painted the leaf. I thought it turned out pretty cute. I hope their teachers decorate for Back to School.
